Forensic Evidence Drying Cabinet

The Forensic Evidence Cabinet is used for drying and storing evidence recovered from a crime scene. The cabinet will ensure containment of fumes, odours and particulates, ensuring a safe working environment for personnel.

SAFE AND EASY TO CHANGE FILTERS

The filter combination used on the cabinet has been designed to safely contain odours, general chemical fumes and particulate matter. Filters are designed to carefully control cabinet airflow, ensuring even absorption across the filter bed, which will maximize the operational life of the filters. Filter advice for your specific application can be obtained through Air Science.

WORKING PRINCIPLES

Air coming into the cabinet is first passed through an in-let pre-filter to ensure it is clean. Vapours, odours and particulates given off while drying are filtered by both special carbon and HEPA filters. These main filters are protected by a Filtrete pre-filter. An optional safety exhaust filter can also be added if required.

High quality fans maintain a constant airflow, even when the pre-filters are partly blocked. If the air velocity reduces to the extent that performance is adversely affected, a low airflow alarm is activated.

DUPLEX VERSION

The Duplex style units are available in addition to our single large compartment design. Duplex units offer a solid wall between compartments and allows two separate drying areas for independent containment whilst preventing any chance of cross contamination.

CLEANING PACKAGE

Each cabinet includes a complete plumbing package that makes cleaning the cabinet easy. The spray hose is kept outside the working compartment at all times to prevent the chance of cross contamination. A drain outlet is provided with a foot operated electrical pump to allow waste water to be removed from the cabinet.

CONSTRUCTION

Corrosion proof design increases operational life, with the use of reinforced plastics that are resistant to corrosion from various liquids and fumes.

The cabinet can be easily cleaned down after use by rinsing with a spray hose incorporated in the cabinet and washing with detergent and water. The space inside the cabinet can be used to provide full length hanging space and with removable shelves for storage of smaller items.
