Without proper containment and filtration, chemical containers can exude hazardous vapours in to the laboratory environment. The SafeStore range of Laboratory Storage Cupboards have been designed to store such containers in a safe and secure manner, filtering off any hazardous fumes, protecting the long term health of laboratory personnel.

SAFE AND EASY TO CHANGE FILTERS

The filter combination used on the cupboard has been designed to safely contain odours and general chemical fumes. Filters are designed to carefully control cupboard airflow, ensuring even absorption across the filter bed, which will maximize the operational life of the filters. Filter advice for your specific application can be obtained through Air Science.

WORKING PRINCIPLES

Air coming into the cupboard is first passed through an in-let pre-filter to ensure it s clean. Vapours and odours are filtered by special carbon filters. These main filters are protected by a Filtrete pre-filter. An optional safety exhaust filter can also be added if required.

High quality fans maintain a constant airflow, even when the pre-filters are partly blocked. If the air velocity reduces to the extent that performance is adversely affected, a low airflow alarm is activated.

There are 3 standard SafeStore sizes available (sizes in CM):

  (86 width x 50 depth x 75 height) 4 Shelves
• SafeStore 34T
  (86 width x 61 depth x 200 height) 5 Shelves
• SafeStore 60T
  (162 width x 61 depth x 200 height) 10 Shelves
